What is Canine Hydrotherapy ?
Canine hydrotherapy is a form of rehabilitation and exercise for dogs that involves using water to help them recover from injuries, improve their overall health, and increase their fitness levels. The therapy is performed in a specially designed pool or underwater treadmill by qualified hydrotherapists.
The buoyancy of the water reduces the stress on the dog's joints and muscles, making it easier for them to move and exercise without pain or discomfort. The resistance of the water also provides a low-impact workout that can help build strength and endurance, without putting undue stress on the dog's body.
Canine hydrotherapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including arthritis, hip dysplasia, neurological disorders, obesity, and muscle injuries. It is also used as a preventative measure to keep dogs healthy and fit. In addition to physical benefits, hydrotherapy can also provide mental stimulation and relaxation for dogs.
