What is Canine Hydrotherapy ?

Canine hydrotherapy is a form of rehabilitation and exercise for dogs that involves using water to help them recover from injuries, improve their overall health, and increase their fitness levels. The therapy is performed in a specially designed pool or underwater treadmill by qualified hydrotherapists.

The buoyancy of the water reduces the stress on the dog's joints and muscles, making it easier for them to move and exercise without pain or discomfort. The resistance of the water also provides a low-impact workout that can help build strength and endurance, without putting undue stress on the dog's body.

Canine hydrotherapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including arthritis, hip dysplasia, neurological disorders, obesity, and muscle injuries. It is also used as a preventative measure to keep dogs healthy and fit. In addition to physical benefits, hydrotherapy can also provide mental stimulation and relaxation for dogs.

Hydrotherapy sessions cost £40.

What is Canine Merishia Massage?

Canine Merishia Massage is a gentle yet effective soft tissue therapy that helps relieve physical and emotional discomfort in dogs while improving movement, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

Combining Swedish, sports and deep tissue massage with fascia release techniques, gentle stretching and targeted mobilisations, this comprehensive head-to-tail treatment works to release deep and superficial tension. It also helps address secondary issues within the muscles and soft tissues, such as trigger points, spasms and scar tissue that may develop as the body compensates for discomfort or injury.

Merishia Massage can help dogs move more comfortably by relieving muscular tension and improving flexibility and mobility. This gentle therapy supports relaxation, enhances circulation and helps reduce trigger points, spasms and restrictions within the soft tissues. Regular sessions can also aid recovery and promote your dog’s overall wellbeing.

Massage sessions can be done at your home or at the clinic, they cost £45 and may incur a travel charge based on distance.
